American Modern Insurance Group is seeking a Liability Claims Specialist to join our team! In this role, you will oversee the investigation and resolution of complex, non-litigated property damage and bodily injury claims arising from our specialty insurance products. This position is remote.

What You'll Do:

• Analyze, investigate, and determine coverage applicability under policies.
• Conduct investigative activities, including securing statements, obtaining documentation, and coordinating with experts and independent adjusters.
• Investigate and document damages in accordance with claims processes.
• Evaluate and negotiate settlements for bodily injury and property damage claims.
• Comply with state-mandated requirements.
• Identify potential fraud, salvage, subrogation, or litigation issues and refer appropriately.
• Manage external vendors to handle claims efficiently while controlling costs.

Ideal Candidate:

• Five or more years of liability claims handling experience.
• Experience with claims systems, applications, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong investigative and research skills.
• Self-motivated, results-driven, adaptable to change.
• Ability to work independently and multitask in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Knowledge of insurance and medical terminology.
• Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Analytical abilities to review and interpret data.
• Industry-related training or certifications such as AIC, CPCU, or SCLA.
