Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking a Quality Engineering Specialist at BlueOval Battery Park Michigan to lead quality control and continuous improvement in lithium-ion cell manufacturing. You will monitor SPC data, drive CAPA, and support audits while mentoring PQE technicians and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The role requires strong problem-solving, Six Sigma familiarity, and the ability to present to top management. Flexible shifts are expected as part of production operations.

Qualifications

• Must have ability to read and interpret technical drawings and process documentation.
• Experience with SPC data analysis and CAPA implementation.
• Strong problem-solving and leadership skills in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with Six Sigma methodology and quality tools.
• Willingness to work across multiple shifts.

Responsibilities

• Respond to daily quality abnormalities; lead containment and corrective actions.
• Monitor SPC and MES inspections; manage process control plans and PFMEA.
• Lead quality improvement projects using 8D, 5-Why, and FMEA.
• Support audits and Layered Process Audits to ensure compliance.
• Coach PQE technicians and interact with top management.
