Job summary

The San Diego LGBT Community Center is seeking an Adult Housing Services Manager to oversee LGBTQ-affirming wrap-around services for adults experiencing homelessness, with a focus on trauma-informed and client-centered care. You will lead staff, coordinate program activities, and ensure contract compliance with partner agencies.

Reporting to the Director of Adult Housing Services, you will supervise 3–4 staff, develop work plans, and guide staff through crises while maintaining HIPAA-compliant

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience providing case management, housing navigation, or wrap-around services to people experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness.
• 1 year of experience providing staff supervision and support.
• Fluency in English.
• Comfortable working in PC/Windows environments.
• Experience managing crises and implementing crisis interventions.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with shifting priorities.
• Competence in working with diverse populations.
• Knowledge of fair housing, motivational interviewing, trauma-informed care, and harm reduction practices.

Responsibilities

• Supervise program staff and provide ongoing support.
• Oversee implementation of program activities and ensure adherence to timelines.
• Lead hiring decisions and participate in staff interviews.
• Provide staff development, onboarding, and training.
• Develop work plans with direct reports and monitor progress.
• Support staff in applying harm reduction, crisis intervention, and motivational interviewing.
• Assist staff in crisis and high-stress situations with emphasis on safety.
