Job summary

The San Diego LGBT Community Center is seeking a Community Educator to deliver LGBTQ+ trainings for staff, partner organizations, and local businesses across San Diego County. The role involves in-person and virtual sessions, curriculum updates, and data collection to measure impact.

You will coordinate trainings, support leadership programs, and help promote the Training Institute’s offerings while upholding the Center’s mission and inclusive values. Fluency in English is required.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience facilitating training, workshops, or presentations for adult audiences, in person and virtually.
• Experience in community education, health education, or a related field.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and co-facilitate trainings for Center staff, community organizations, corporations, and businesses, both in person across San Diego County and virtually.
• Prepare for trainings by reviewing content, tailoring examples, and confirming materials and technology.
• Create welcoming, interactive learning spaces that address participants' needs.
• Respond to questions with accurate information and refer scope-limited questions to the TCEM or Center departments.
• Co-facilitate Leadership Academy workshops for Center staff.
