Job summary

Texas Children's Hospital is seeking Registered Nurses for our NICU 4 Team to deliver high-quality, family-centered care to critically ill neonates in a fast-paced Level IV NICU. You will assess, plan, implement, educate, and evaluate age-appropriate care while coordinating with the interdisciplinary team.

Ideal candidates hold a Texas nursing license (or active Compact), a BSN or enrollment in a BSN program, BLS certification, and at least 9 months of NICU/ICU experience.

Qualifications

• Texas RN license required or active Compact
• BLS certification required
• BSN or current enrollment in BSN program
• Minimum 9 months NICU/ICU experience preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; teamwork essential
• Knowledge of nursing process, critical thinking, and interdisciplinary collaboration

Responsibilities

• Assess patient/family needs including biophysical, psychosocial, developmental, cultural and environmental factors
• Collect and analyze data from the medical record to coordinate patient care
• Analyze situations, anticipate problems and detect changes in patient status
• Develop individualized care plans and adjust as needed
• Coordinate care among health team members and participate in rounds/conferences
• Maintain patient confidentiality and educate new staff and families
