TheCorporate LLC is seeking a Level II UX Designer to contribute to complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives in New York City. Hybrid work arrangement with in-person collaboration at 1 Water Plaza may apply.
You will design and deliver UX artifacts, conduct user research, run design thinking workshops, and work closely with developers to bring prototypes to life across web, iOS, and Android contexts. Expect growth, impact and cross-team collaboration.

Duties / Responsibilities
Working as part of a team of problem solvers, consulting and collaborating with team members and stakeholders to understand business goals, and helping solve complex business issues from strategy to execution
Designing, developing and implementing both client and internal facing applications and providing technology tools that help drive NYS strategic initiatives
Using enterprise architecture across application areas to build delivery models that map capabilities to business needs outlined by NYS
Using multiple sources of information including broader stakeholder views to develop solutions and recommendations
Addressing defects and enhancements as part of the application support lifecycle
Participating in incident resolution post implementation as required
Creating and carrying out user research plans (i.e., surveys, interviews, focus groups, etc.), as well as explaining user research results to internal and external stakeholders
Planning and facilitating design thinking workshops (i.e., journey mapping, user needs modeling, etc.
Creating UX deliverables (i.e., developing user models and scenarios, sketches, user stories, user flows, interactive prototypes, wireframes, storyboards, sitemaps)
Planning and conducting usability testing, analyzing user feedback and activity, and iterating to improve the user experience
Working closely with developers to bring designs to life, assisting with content development, and creating and iterating on prototypes that require coding to improve solutions
Collecting quantitative and qualitative UX metrics that support usability validation
Designing for multi-device web, iOS, and Android contexts
Other duties as assigned
Consultants may be eligible to telecommute for more than 50% of their work hours, up to and including 100% remote work. Telecommuting arrangements require direct manager approval and are subject to change based on program needs. Consultants approved for 100% remote work must attend monthly in-person meetings at the Albany office and be available for major milestone meetings as needed.
Mandatory Qualification
(PASS/FAIL)
Level II- More than seven (7) years of experience working on complex projects with 2 or more years in a leadership role as a UX Engineer
Seven or more years of experience in UI/UX engineering on full life cycle of design deliverables including wireframes, mockups, journey maps, prototypes, story boards and user surveys.
One to two years working in an Integrated Eligibility System Program in various workstreams including Fair Hearings in a Health and Human Service setting.
Additional Qualifications:
Seven or more years of experience with Adobe Creative Suite or Figma.
Two to five years of experience with user research, user modeling and usability testing.
Two to five years of experience with CSS3, HTML5, and JavaScript.
