Job summary

Mistras Group, Inc. is seeking a Level II NDE Technician to perform field and shop inspections using UT, RT, MT and PT techniques. The role requires setting up and calibrating equipment, conducting tests, and documenting results with precision.

You will operate under NRC/state regulations, supervise trainees, and ensure safety and quality across multiple jobsites in the region. A strong understanding of codes and standards is essential to success in this position.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an NDT program meeting SNT‑TC1A requirements (UT, RT, MT or PT).
• Prior or current NDE Level II certification with relevant field experience.
• Industrial Radiographer Certification preferred (required for radiography tracks).
• 40-hour Radiation Safety training preferred (required for radiography).
• Demonstrated problem‑solving, communication and planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate NDT equipment.
• Conduct tests using UT, RT, MT or PT as applicable.
• Interpret, evaluate and document results.
• Direct and supervise Level I personnel and trainees when certified.
• Comply with codes, standards and contract documents governing the method.
• Work with minimal supervision and resolve problems promptly.
• Transport and operate radiographic equipment as required.
• Maintain radiographic equipment and ensure security and regulatory compliance.
• Provide safety notifications and supervision as needed.
• Verify equipment and personnel are in compliance with NRC/State regulations.
