Job summary

MISTRAS Group, Inc. is seeking a Level II MT/PT/UT NDT technician for our La Porte, TX office to support inspection and testing services. The role requires a Level II certification or Level I with sufficient field hours, and the ability to supervise trainees.

You will set up equipment, perform tests, interpret results, and document findings while adhering to codes and standards. Strong problem solving, communication, and safety awareness are essential in this on-site role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an NDT technical program meeting SNT-TC1A for MT/PT/UT.
• Current Level II NDT certification or Level I with field hours to upgrade.
• Familiar with codes and standards governing the method.
• Ability to train and direct Level I technicians.

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate NDT equipment.
• Conduct tests using MT/PT/UT techniques.
• Interpret, evaluate and document findings.
• Be familiar with codes and standards governing the method.
• Identify and resolve problems promptly.
• Work with trainees and direct Level I personnel.
