Job summary

NFI Industries is seeking a Level II Technician to perform all aspects of MHE maintenance on LP or electric forklifts. The technician should be proficient in one propulsion type and capable of independent repairs, using basic tools and electrical knowledge.

You will report to a lead tech or manager, conduct preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and perform repairs while meeting productivity targets and ensuring safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years experience with troubleshooting electric or LP equipment.
• Experience in basic repairs of electric or LP equipment.
• Basic electrical, LP, hydraulic systems and DVOM knowledge.
• Must read and follow service manuals.
• Excellent oral and written communication and customer service.
• Must provide own hand tools.
• Ability to lift 75 lbs and work outside in inclement weather.

Responsibilities

• Perform Preventative Maintenance (PM) on LP and electric forklifts.
• Fluid changes, oil, transmission fluid, differential gear lube and hydraulic fluid.
• Replace filters: air, oil, fuel, ATF.
• Tune-ups: adjust valves, spark plugs, wires.
• Brake and riser adjustments.
• Inspect and repack wheel bearings.
• Inspect and water forklift batteries on schedule; battery maintenance.
• Battery removal, repairs and installs.
• Paint touch ups and general part replacements (horns, lights, tires).
• Troubleshoot overheating and steering problems.
• Achieve a minimum of 30 completed PM services per month.
• Maintain productivity level of 80–90%.
