Job summary

SQA Services in Rock Hill, SC is seeking a Level II Composites Inspector for a part-time 6-month contract to perform advanced visual, dimensional, and FAI inspections on aerospace composite parts.

Responsibilities include reviewing traveler paperwork, verifying layup and cure records, and ensuring compliance with AS9100/AS9102 standards. The role requires independence at supplier sites and ITAR compliance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of direct experience inspecting composite materials in aerospace.
• Knowledge of ply layup, autoclave/oven cure, vacuum bagging, and bonding processes.
• Familiarity with drawing interpretation and AS9102 documentation.

Responsibilities

• Inspect composite materials (carbon fiber, fiberglass, honeycomb, bonded assemblies).
• Perform in-process, final, and first article inspections (AS9102) of aerospace composite parts and assemblies.
• Identify defects such as delamination, voids, bridging, porosity, and FOD.
• Review traveler paperwork, ply layup charts, cure reports, and material traceability records.
• Conduct visual and dimensional inspections using inspection aids and gauges.
• Ensure compliance with customer specifications and AS9100/AS9102 standards.
• Accurately complete inspection reports and maintain records.
