Qualifications

• 3+ years of direct experience inspecting composite materials in aerospace.
• Ability to read aerospace drawings, layup charts and specifications.
• Knowledge of AS9102 FAI processes.
• Familiarity with GD&T.
• Proficient with basic inspection tools and documentation procedures.
• Ability to work independently at supplier sites and deescalate conflicts.
• Must meet ITAR requirements and pass background check.

Responsibilities

• Inspect composite materials and perform in-process, final, and first article inspections.
• Identify defects such as delamination, voids and porosity.
• Review traveler paperwork, layup charts, cure reports, and material traceability.
• Conduct visual and dimensional inspections using inspection aids and gauges.
• Ensure compliance with AS9100/AS9102 quality standards.
• Complete inspection reports and maintain records.
