Job summary

Qualifications

3+ years of direct experience inspecting composite materials in aerospace.
Ability to read aerospace drawings and layup charts.
Familiarity with AS9102 and FAI (First Article Inspection) processes.
Able to meet ITAR requirements and pass a background check.

Responsibilities

Inspect composite materials (carbon fiber, fiberglass, honeycomb, bonded assemblies).
Perform in-process, final, and first article inspections (AS9102) of aerospace composite parts and assemblies.
Identify and document defects such as delamination, voids, bridging, porosity, and FOD.
Review traveler paperwork, ply layup charts, cure reports, and material traceability records.
Conduct visual and dimensional inspections using inspection aids, depth gauges, and laser alignment tools.
Ensure compliance with customer specifications and AS9100/AS9102 standards.
Accurately complete inspection reports and maintain records.
