Job summary

American Leadership Academy in Sierra Vista, AZ is seeking a Level I IT Specialist to provide on-site support for school technology and equipment. You will assist staff and students with hardware and software issues, install and repair devices, and help maintain AV setup for events.

Preferred candidates have customer-service focus, strong communication, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. AZ IVP fingerprint clearance is required or willing to obtain it.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance card is required or willing to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Answer, evaluate, and prioritize requests for assistance from staff experiencing problems with hardware, software, networking, and other IT related issues.
• Escalate complex issues to Level 2 Support with a detailed report of steps taken.
• Install computers, software, and peripheral equipment.
• Repair of computers, software, and peripheral equipment.
• Troubleshoot phones, networks, projectors, doc cams and other technology used by students and staff.
• Support audio and visual equipment at various ALA events.
• Train users on software and hardware on-site.
• Maintain records of work in progress and completed jobs.
• Maintain a moderate level of proficiency in software and applications supported by IT.
• Required to lift up to 50 pounds in support of hardware installations.
• Assist in miscellaneous tasks as needed.

Job description

American Leadership Academy is now accepting applications for a Level I IT Specialist who will provide on-site support to all technology equipment for our school located in Sierra Vista, Arizona. Candidates must possess, or be willing to obtain, a valid AZ IVP fingerprint clearance card. Previous experience in the IT field is preferred, but not required.
