Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in San Jose, CA, is seeking a production operator to join a skilled team responsible for assembling high-precision products. You will support microelectronic, RF, hybrid, and semiconductor assembly workflows, with emphasis on soldering and precise component handling under a microscope.

The role requires 4+ years of relevant experience, 2+ years soldering, and the ability to maintain quality while meeting daily goals. A security clearance may be required; U.S.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years prior work experience in microelectronic, RF, hybrid and/or semiconductor assembly.
• Minimum of 2 years of soldering experience
• Minimum of 2 years of assembly experience
• Be able to handle devices, and other small components using tweezers under a microscope.
• Basic computer skills for documenting defects and time charging.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
• This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a “US Person” under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license).

Responsibilities

• Proficiency in at least three of the following skills: wire bonding, gap welding, eutectic die attach, epoxy attach. Be able to handle devices, and other small components using tweezers under a microscope.
• Work independently, take ownership for your quality and actively learn to make continual improvements.
• Participate in meetings, make suggestions and work with your team to meet daily production goals.
• Maintain a neat and orderly work area
• Ability to work under a microscope 8 hours per day.
• Effectively communicate in English and read work instructions. Knowledge of MIL-STD criteria preferred.
• Performs equipment set-up and calibration and may perform routine preventative maintenance tasks.
• Collaborate with Process and Quality Engineering to troubleshoot and resolve procedure specification challenges.
