RN – OR (Level 3, Circulator) (Contract)

Position Summary & Responsibilities

Function as an OR RN circulator across multiple surgical service lines

Provide perioperative nursing care, ensuring patient safety and sterile technique

Support procedures including ortho, general surgery, urology, ENT (peds), GI, spine, ophthalmology, and podiatry

Collaborate with surgical teams to coordinate care and ensure efficient OR workflow

Participate in on‑call rotation (1 weekday/week and weekend rotation)

Float to affiliated units (SSMH/GGH) as needed

Requirements

Licensure: Active New York RN License – Required

Experience:

Minimum 2 years OR experience – Required

Circulator experience – Required

Multi-service line experience – Preferred

Certifications:

BLS (AHA/RQI) – Required

ACLS (AHA/RQI) – Required

PALS (AHA/RQI) – Required

Stroke Certification – Required

On‑call: 1 day/week (Mon–Thurs) + 3 weekend rotations every 4–6 weeks (Fri–Mon)

Must be comfortable working independently when on‑call

Exposure to bloodborne pathogens possible
