Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking a registered nurse to join the Level 1 Trauma Center Emergency Department at the Main Campus. The ED handles acutely ill pediatric to adult patients with 93 beds and 10 trauma bays, offering high-volume trauma and critical care experience.

As an RN on rotating shifts (7p-7a, with rotating weekends/holidays), you’ll perform patient assessments, triage, trauma care, IV insertions, blood draws, Foley catheter insertions, and collaborate with LPNs, PCNAs, BOs, and providers to

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing and current Ohio RN licensure.
• Current BLS, ACLS or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• PALS within 6 months; TNCC within 1 year; NIHSS within 90 days.
• PRN requires 1 year of RN experience; certifications required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and triage in the ED.
• Provide trauma care and monitor acutely ill patients.
• Administer IVs, draw blood, and insert Foley catheters.
• Time management, critical thinking, and delegation with team.
