Job summary

MetroHealth Main Campus- Glick is seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse for a PRN role in our Level 1 Trauma Center. The RN will perform patient assessments, triage, and trauma care for acutely ill pediatric to adult patients, with duties including IV insertion, blood draws, and Foley catheter insertion.

The ideal candidate will have Ohio RN licensure and BLS/ACLS within required timelines.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation).
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Current PALS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Current TNCC certification or obtained within 1 year of hire.
• Current NIHSS Stroke certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience
• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and triage for acutely ill pediatric to adult patients in a Level 1 trauma ED.
• Provide trauma care, IV insertion, blood draws, Foley catheter insertion as part of patient care.
• Demonstrate time management, critical thinking, and delegation to support patient flow.
• Collaborate with LPNs, Paramedics, PCNAs, BOs, and Providers to deliver high-quality care.
