Job summary

Nucor Steel West Virginia is seeking a Level 1 Process Automation Engineer to join the on-site team. You will support safe and efficient plant operations, focus on the sheet steel making process, and collaborate with maintenance and operations to drive process improvements.

You will lead by example in safety, reliability, and cost control while deep-diving into level 1 and 2 automation systems and associated software and databases. Monday–Friday on-site with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in engineering/CS/math/physics/chemistry or related field.
• Four years of experience in industrial process control/automation within the manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety, reliability, quality, costs, process improvement, and project management.
• Improve core process models for continual improvement.
• Ensure optimal performance of process control systems in assigned area.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, quality, engineering and project teams to support safe plant performance.
