Job summary

Mini-Circuits in the United States is seeking a Pick & Place Operator to perform component assembly on PCBs using a Solder Screen Print Machine and to operate the PCB Dicing Machine.

You will document jobs, verify materials, follow drawings, and help ensure quality while adhering to safety and process guidelines. Experience in pick & place or related manufacturing is preferred, and a high school diploma is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or international equivalent.
• 6 months’ experience in Pick & Place Departmental responsibilities or equivalent related manufacturing or assembly experience.
• Ability to read, writes, and orally communicate in English and have the ability to understand and carryout verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to read and understand assembly drawings and documents.
• Ability to distinguish colors in accordance with the ISHIRA test for color blindness.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites.
• Must have basic operational knowledge on how to use the equipment within the department, including a microscope.
• Must be detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Solder Screen Printing, Pick & Place GSM, and Dicing Machine.
• Document all jobs worked on using bar code, clock on and clock off.
• Confirm inventory of materials used.
• Check quantity and drawings before signing QC sheets.
• Perform all solder paste screen print activities and soldering of small components.
• Perform reflow of solder with conveyor oven.
• Load components into the feeders and separate PCB array into individual PCB.
• Submit suggestions to Team Leader, Supervisor, or Manager for corrections or improvements to the process.
• Edit existing programs in the Pick & Place GSM & PCB Dicing Machines once verified by a Level 3 Operator or Team Leader.
• Notify Team Leader or Manager to hold/stop a run when the non-conformity threatens the performance of the run.

Position Summary:

The Pick & Place Operator performs component assembly on PCBs using a Solder Screen Print Machine andoperates the PCB Dicing Machine, as per stated procedures.

Job Function:

• Must be able to operate the Solder Screen Printing, Pick & Place GSM, and Dicing Machine.
• Document all jobs worked on using bar code, clock on and clock off.

• Perform reflow of solder with conveyor oven.

• Submit suggestions to Team Leader, Supervisor, or Manager for corrections or improvements to the process.
• Edit existing programs in the Pick & Place GSM & PCB Dicing Machines once verified by a Level 3 Operator or Team Leader.
• Notify the Team Leader or Manager to hold/stop a run when the non-conformity threatens the performance of the run.
• Notify Team Leader or Manager when department output goals are not met.
