Job description

Mini-Circuits designs, manufactures and distributes integrated circuits, modules, and sub-systems for high-performance radio frequency (RF) and microwave applications.With design, sales and manufacturing locations in over 30 countries, Mini-Circuits’ products are used in a range of wired and wireless communications applications. Our products are also used in detection, measurement and imaging applications, including military communication, guidance and electronic countermeasure systems, commercial, scientific, military land, sea and aircraft, automotive systems, medical systems, and industrial test equipment.

Mini-Circuits’ sells its products to over 20,000 customers globally through our direct sales force, applications engineering staff, sales representatives, as well as through our extensive website.

Position Summary:

The Operations Program Manager will support Mini-Circuits’ High Reliability (Hi-Rel) and Up-screening program. The position is responsible for planning and coordinating Hi-Rel projects, maintaining schedules, tracking progress, coordinating resources, and providing status updates from initial requirements through customer shipment.

Salary Range:

$96,000 - $120,000 per year

Job Function:
  • Work with different teams, including Applications, Account Managers, Operations, and Quality, on Hi-Rel products from the start of production through shipment to the customer.
  • Work with the Applications team to understand Hi-Rel and Up-screening requirements, including Thermal Shock, Vibration, Mechanical Shock, Radiographic Inspection, DC Burn-in, and Life Testing. Review internal documents to make sure all required information is included.
  • Provide accurate lead times and best ship dates based on current production schedules, testing requirements, and project status.
  • Create production travelers and routings with clear instructions for completing Reliability and Screening requirements.
  • Prepare schedules and Gantt charts to track key steps and timing for each product’s screening and reliability testing.
  • Lead material analysis and project requirements analysis by product including collaboration with engineering test and fixturing teams to ensure test materials are available.
  • Coordinate with Operations to make sure Hi-Rel products are completed on time and meet all required steps.
  • Start the Hi-Rel testing process once products are built, tested, and ready for screening.
  • Communicate and coordinate daily Hi-Rel activities with Inspection, Electrical Testing, Reliability, and outside vendors and labs.
  • Work with Engineering Test and Fixturing teams to prepare test setups and accessories needed for reliability testing.
  • Track Hi-Rel activities and monitor progress at the different workstations.
  • Communicate issues to the appropriate teams, including Applications and Quality, when they may affect the schedule or completion date.
  • Report quality concerns to the Quality and Reliability teams as soon as they are identified.
  • Review test data and ensure it is available to the Quality and Reliability teams for timely review to support on-time customer delivery.
  • Provide weekly updates on the status of Hi-Rel projects to the appropriate teams.
  • Support improvement efforts to address issues found on previous projects and help prevent them from happening again.
  • Work with the Manufacturing Control department to help resolve production-related issues.
  • Provide support to the Manufacturing Control department when needed.
  • Understand the production process and help address issues that may come up during production.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical or scientific discipline, or related field of study
  • Proficient in the use of Project Management, ERP, and PLM tools (SmartSheet, Arena PLM desirable)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Power point) including database management (sorting, filtering, categorizing are essential)
  • Strong understanding of production processes, testing, and technical requirements.
  • Detail-Oriented and extremely well organized.
  • Strong reading, writing and oral communication skills.
  • Project Management Professional certificate preferred.
  • Basic understanding of Reliability concepts like bathtub curve, screening, life studies and stress tests including Thermal Shock, Vibration, Mechanical Shock, Radiographic Inspection, C-SAM, Burn-in, Life Test is highly desirable.
