Job summary

Amsive in Bolingbrook, IL is seeking a Set-Up Operator to configure, operate, and maintain multiple inserting systems (MPS, APS, Epic) for direct mail and transactional jobs. This role ensures accuracy and on-time production while following client specifications.

Responsibilities include setting up feeders, folders, inserters, cameras, and conveyors; loading materials; performing tests and calibrations; troubleshooting jams; and verifying USPS compliance and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience operating MPS, APS, Epic, or similar lettershop inserting equipment preferred.
• Ability to read and follow job tickets and production schedules.

• Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot jams, double feeds, or misreads.
• Ensure accuracy of mail pieces and correct sequencing when applicable.
• Verify jobs meet USPS regulations and client quality standards.
• Conduct routine maintenance and minor mechanical adjustments.
• Document production data, downtime, and quality checks.
• Collaborate with supervisors, quality control, and maintenance teams.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and follow safety procedures.

What we are looking for

Who you are

• Experience operatingMPS, APS, Epic, or similar lettershop inserting equipmentpreferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read and follow detailed instructions and job specifications
• Basic computer skills for machine interfaces and reporting systems
• High attention to detail and quality control
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced production environment
• Good communicationand teamwork skills
• High school diploma or GEDrequired

Work Environment

Position operates in a regulated manufacturing print/mail production facility

Physical Demands

• Stand and walk for up to 12 hours, with frequent bending, kneeling, and reaching
• Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
• Perform repetitive motions in a fast-paced production environment

Security Clearance
