Job summary

Amsive is a leader in high-volume print and mail manufacturing with over 40 years of experience. The Set-Up Operator will configure, operate, and maintain inserting systems (MPS, APS, Epic) to meet client specifications and production deadlines.

This role requires reading job tickets, loading materials, calibrating machines, trouble-shooting jams, and documenting production data. The position offers 12-hour shifts (3-3) with some weekends, in Bolingbrook, IL, starting at $24 per hour based on

Qualifications

• Experience operating MPS, APS, Epic, or similar lettershop inserting equipment preferred.
• Basic computer skills for machine interfaces and reporting systems.
• High attention to detail and quality control.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate MPS, APS, and Epic inserting systems for a variety of direct mail and transactional jobs.
• Review and interpret job tickets, specifications, and production schedules.
• Configure machine components including feeders, folders, inserters, cameras, and conveyors.
• Load materials such as envelopes, inserts, and forms into equipment.
• Perform test runs and calibrate machines to ensure proper alignment, folding, inserting, and sealing.
• Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot issues such as jams, double feeds, or misreads.
• Ensure accuracy of mail pieces, including correct matching and sequencing when applicable.
• Verify jobs meet USPS regulations and client quality standards.
• Conduct routine maintenance and minor mechanical adjustments.
• Document production data, downtime, and quality checks.
• Collaborate with supervisors, quality control, and maintenance teams.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and follow all safety procedures.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Work Environment: Position operates in a regulated manufacturing print/mail production facility

Physical Demands:

• Stand and walk for up to 12 hours, with frequent bending, kneeling, and reaching
• Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
• Perform repetitive motions in a fast-paced production environment
