Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and perform simple mathematical functions.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Current certification in group exercise or fitness instruction.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan, prepare, and instruct assigned group exercise classes.
• Create a welcoming and inclusive class environment.
• Promote member engagement by encouraging involvement in Y programs.
• Lead and demonstrate group exercise expertise.
• Encourage members toward personal fitness goals.
• Set up equipment before class.
• Store equipment after class.
• Maintain records as directed.
• Prioritize safety and teach proper form and modifications.
• Know emergency procedures.
• Complete accident/incident reports.
• Attend department and branch staff meetings.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Support mission and values.
