Role Overview

The Licensed Optician helps establish LensCrafters as the premier destination for vision needs, delivering exceptional customer service and high-quality eyewear that exceeds expectations.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

1. Welcome customers and set expectations.
2. Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses.
3. Lead in optical expertise.
4. Take and record measurements; adjust and fit eyewear with attention to detail.
5. Assist with complex product needs and prescriptions.
6. Use technology accurately under time pressure, maintaining product knowledge.
7. Explore root causes of issues, ensuring customer satisfaction.
8. Manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
9. Achieve store KPIs and competencies.
10. Maintain store appearance and safety practices.
11. Engage in continual learning and adhere to company policies.

Basic Qualifications

1. High School diploma or equivalent.
2. State Licensure.
3. Optical dispensing experience.
4. Strong customer service, communication, and team skills.
5. Knowledge of store merchandise and basic math.
6. Awareness of fashion trends.
7. Ability to use iPads/tablets and familiarity with POS systems.
8. Adaptability to new technology and changes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous customer service and retail experience.
