Role Overview

The Licensed Optician helps establish LensCrafters as a premier destination for vision needs by delivering exceptional customer service and high-quality eyewear that exceeds expectations.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

1. Welcome customers and set expectations
2. Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses
3. Lead in optical knowledge and assist with complex product needs
4. Take measurements, adjust eyewear, and ensure standards are met
5. Use technology accurately and efficiently, maintaining product knowledge
6. Identify root causes of issues, ensure customer satisfaction, and exceed expectations
7. Multi-task and manage time effectively
8. Achieve results on KPIs and store standards
9. Maintain store appearance and safety practices
10. Be resourceful, self-motivated, and committed to learning and improvement
11. Adhere to company policies including discounts, promotions, and inventory management

Basic Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• State Licensure
• Optical dispensing experience
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Knowledge of store merchandise and fashion trends
• Basic math skills and familiarity with POS and technology

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous customer service and retail experience
