ING Americas is seeking an experienced U.S.-qualified lawyer in New York to support the Lending business, focusing on trade and commodities finance, receivables financings, letters of credit, and secured lending transactions.

The role requires strong UCC Article 5 and Article 9 expertise, collaboration with front-office teams, risk, and compliance, and the ability to deliver practical, commercially focused advice in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• J.D. and active New York Bar admission.
• 7+ years of experience post-qualification as a New York Bar attorney.
• Strong knowledge of lending products including trade/commodities finance and secured lending.

Responsabilités

• Advise ING Americas on U.S. banking laws and regulatory requirements relating to lending transactions.
• Provide transactional support for trade and commodities finance, receivables financings, letters of credit, and secured lending.
• Review, draft, and negotiate commercial and operational agreements.
• Advise on corporate governance, regulatory developments and risks for the business.
• Collaborate with global colleagues to assess extraterritorial U.S. law impacts on ING's operations.
• Develop and deliver training on legal requirements and risk management to stakeholders.
