Job summary

LQ Resorts is seeking a Leisure Assistant to join the Leisure Club team. You will supervise the pool area, enforce safety rules, and deliver first aid when needed, while maintaining poolside cleanliness and reporting issues to management.

Must hold an up-to-date NPLQ, be safety conscious, and able to stay calm under pressure. This role values excellent customer care and clear communication with guests and team members.

Qualifications

Must hold an up-to-date NPLQ.
Safety conscious and vigilant.
Strong swimmer with calm handling of pressure.
English GCSE 4/C or above.

Responsibilities

Supervise pool and poolside area, enforce rules for safety.
Administer first aid to members/guests as necessary.
Conduct regular health and safety checks (pool tests, changing room checks).
Maintain high cleanliness of the poolside area.
Report maintenance or member issues to the line manager.

Job Title: Leisure Assistant

Department: Leisure Club

Reporting To: Leisure Club Manager

Primary Job Purpose:

Based on Experience

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Life Guard to join our Leisure team. The successful applicant must have a friendly, outgoing nature and be proactive in achieving the challenges set for them. They must maintain safety, to help prevent drowning and other injuries from occurring in or around the poolside area by keeping a full supervision.

About the role

Roles and Responsibilities

To supervise the pool and poolside area to help ensure the safety of its users, enforcing poolside rules where necessary.
To administer first aid to members/guests where necessary
To carry out regular health and safety checks such as pool tests and changing room checks
To maintain a high level of cleanliness of the poolside area
Report any maintenance or member issues to the line manager
