Job summary

Oklahoma Health Care Authority (OHCA) seeks a Legislative Liaison to manage relationships with the State Legislature and Governor, guiding OHCA through the legislative process and leading outreach on Medicaid and related programs. Reporting to the Chief of Staff, you will coordinate briefings, testimony and policy development while advancing OHCA priorities.

Qualifications

• Expertise in legislative processes, policy analysis, stakeholder engagement, and government relations.
• Ability to research, analyze and track state/federal legislation affecting OHCA.
• Strong written and oral communication skills for briefings and testimony.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and maintains relationships with state, federal and agency officials.
• Maintains a presence at the State Capitol to communicate OHCA's views on legislation and policies.
• Researches and analyzes legislative initiatives affecting OHCA; tracks activity and amendments.
• Drafts legislation and administrative rules with general counsel for legal soundness and agency benefit.
• Briefs leadership and stakeholders on legislative activity and forthcoming actions.
• Develops outreach to legislators and stakeholders to support OHCA projects and agenda.
• Attends legislative committee meetings and prepares CEOs for events and follow-up.
