The Oklahoma Health Care Authority (OHCA) in Oklahoma City is seeking a Legislative Liaison to serve as the primary contact before the State Legislature and Governor, guiding OHCA through the legislative process. This role leads outreach and education initiatives and collaborates with officials and stakeholders.

Under the Chief of Staff, you will coordinate fiscal impact statements, draft legislation, and build strong relationships with legislators to advance OHCA priorities and public health

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree and four (4) years of experience working in the legislative process OR Master’s degree and three (3) years of experience in the legislative process OR An equivalent combination of education and experience substituting one (1) year of experience for one (1) year of education.

Aufgaben

• Establishes and maintains cooperative relationships with state, federal and agency officials.
• Maintains an ongoing presence and positive image at the State Capitol to communicate OHCA’s views and input on legislation, rules, policies and programs.
• Research, monitor, understand, analyze and track state and federal legislative initiatives that could impact OHCA.
• Assist agency management and general counsel in drafting legislation and administrative rules that are legally sound and beneficial to the agency.
• Coordinate development of fiscal impact statements for proposed legislative bills.
• Develop and present educational information to legislators to help them understand OHCA projects.
