Job summary

Delaware North at TD Garden in Boston, MA is seeking a part-time Porter for our Legends Restaurant team. You will be responsible for receiving, maintaining, and stocking front- and back-of-house supplies, and stepping into other kitchen roles as needed to support the team.

The role offers weekly pay, flexible schedules, and opportunities for training and development. Basic math and strong attention to detail are valued as you manage deliveries, inventory, and storage areas to help us deliver

Qualifications

• One to three months of stock clerk/steward or related experience preferred.
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Responsibilities

• Receive, open, unpack, and stock restaurant supplies to shelves and service stations.
• Monitor deliveries; inspect product quality, temperature, and condition; rotate stock.
• Maintain receiving log and track deliveries and missing items.
• Take inventory to identify items to reorder or replenish.
• Keep storage and delivery areas clean and compliant with sanitation standards.

Delaware North Sportservice is hiring a part-time Porter to join our Legends Restaurant team at TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. As a Legends Restaurant Porter, you will be responsible for receiving, maintaining, and storing front- and back-of-house restaurant supplies. You will step into other kitchen roles as needed to support the team’s overall success.

What will you do?

• Monitor all deliveries; analyze invoices; inspect all products for quality, temperature, and condition.Perform proper rotation of all food and beverage products. Report any faulty or incorrect deliveries immediately
• Receive, open, unpack, and stock new or transferred restaurant supplies to their appropriate shelves, racks, tables, and service stations
• Maintain receiving log by competently tracking all deliveries and missing items
• Take inventory to identify items to be reordered or replenished
• Clean and maintain storage and delivery areas; ensureall kitchen and dining room equipment is clean, sanitary, and in good repair

More about you

• One to three months of previous stock clerk/steward or related experience highly preferred
• Basic math skills with the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
• Must have strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills
• No experience or diploma required

Physical requirements

• Constant standing and walking for the entire length of the shift
• Frequently required to reach, pull, push, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Regularly lift or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds
