Job summary

Hirschler is seeking a Legal Technology Manager in Richmond to collaborate with attorneys, practice groups, and IT, identifying and implementing technology that improves workflows and client service. The role reports to the CIO and acts as a liaison to ensure technology aligns with legal work needs.

Responsibilities include evaluating software such as document management, knowledge management, AI-enabled tools, time capture, and practice management, coordinating vendor demos, and guiding rollout

Qualifications

• 5+ years of legal technology or operations experience in a law firm, corporate legal department, or similar.
• Experience collaborating directly with attorneys and practice groups to evaluate workflows and recommend tech solutions.
• Experience researching, evaluating, and implementing legal technology platforms such as DMS, KM tools, litigation support, AI-enabled tools, time capture, or practice management software.
• Proven project management and rollout experience including coordinating vendor relationships, testing, training, and user adoption initiatives.
• Strong ability to translate attorney requirements into technical recommendations and communicate with lawyers, IT, vendors, and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Engage with attorneys and practice groups to understand workflows and identify tech opportunities to improve efficiency and client service.
• Translate needs into technology requirements for IT evaluation and implementation.
• Coordinate product demos and pilot programs with vendors.
• Plan and execute rollout of new legal technologies with IT and firm stakeholders.
• Develop training materials and documentation for attorneys and staff and drive adoption.
