Atrium is seeking on behalf of our client a Legal Secretary based in Miami, Florida.

Employment Type: Full-time

Compensation: $85,000 to $95,000

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join our client’s esteemed litigation firm. This role will provide comprehensive administrative and case management support to attorneys, ensuring efficient operations and timely handling of legal matters. The position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

Summarize legal cases and prepare comprehensive reports to assist attorneys.

Conduct research and investigations as needed to support casework.

Create, prepare, and file documents for court proceedings in compliance with deadlines.

Expertly manage and organize legal documents and case files for easy retrieval.

Assist in trial preparation for commercial litigation, including assembling exhibits and maintaining trial binders.

Maintain and manage attorney calendars, deadlines, and schedules to ensure timely case progression.

Required Experience/Skills

Minimum of 4 years of legal secretary experience.

Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.

Proficiency in legal document preparation and filing procedures.

Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Experience/Skills

Experience in commercial litigation support.

Prior paralegal experience is a plus.

Familiarity with legal research tools and case management software.

Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Strong interpersonal skills for working with attorneys and clients.

Education Requirements

A college degree is preferred.

Additional legal secretarial or paralegal certifications are a plus.

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Continuing education in legal administration is advantageous.
