Job summary

Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP seeks a motivated Research Analyst to join our Research Services team. The analyst conducts in-depth legal and business research to support attorneys and staff, navigating complex databases and leveraging current AI tools to enhance deliverables.

Responsibilities include providing proactive research, advising on strategy, keeping knowledge resources up to date, and delivering timely results. MLS with 2+ years in a law firm or legal library is required.

Qualifications

• MLS degree required or substitution with relevant professional research experience.
• 2+ years' experience providing research in a private law firm, academic law library, or research center.
• Strong client service orientation and ability to manage multiple requests.
• Knowledge of major legal/business resources (Westlaw, Lexis, Capital IQ, Bloomberg Law, VitalLaw).
• Familiarity with data analytics and emerging AI technologies in research workflows.
• Excellent research interviewing, written, and oral communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines in fast-paced environments.
• Proficiency with Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint, and Zoom; ability to interpret research outputs.

Responsibilities

• Delivers proactive and value-added research to the firm.
• Provides expert legal and business research assistance to attorneys and staff in a timely manner using advanced tools.
• Maintains knowledge of internal resources to enhance research deliverables.
• Analyzes research results and presents findings to support decision making.
• Advises attorneys on research strategy and resource selection for efficiency and cost control.
• Follows internal procedures to ensure timely delivery of research results.
