Job summary

James Hardie, a leading exterior home solutions company, offers a 12-week paid internship in the Corporate Legal Department in Chicago. You will gain hands-on experience through legal operations, paralegal work, and research, with assignments tailored to your interests.

You'll work with experienced professionals, build business-facing communication and project-management skills, and receive mentoring and development resources to support your career ambitions.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program with anticipated May 2029 graduation (rising junior).
• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Available to work full-time for 12 weeks during summer 2027.
• Reliable transportation to and from the work location.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Support process and technology projects aligned with Legal department and corporate strategy.
• Organize project information, track actions, and help move assigned workstreams forward.
• Assist with e-billing and financial management activities.
• Contribute to the continued development of risk and compliance program activities.
• Collaborate with Legal colleagues and business partners to solve problems and deliver practical results.
