Qualifications

• BS/BA in Legal Studies or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in legal operations, project management, or related function.
• Strong organizational, project management, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365; comfort learning new technologies.
• Experience with legal billing systems, document management tools, and budgeting processes is desirable.
• Strong communication skills, professionalism, and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Interest or foundational understanding of AI technologies and platforms.

Responsibilities

• Administer MISO’s legal technology tools, including support for the legal document management system and participation in new technology selection and implementation.
• Support legal risk identification and mitigation across business operations.
• Manage relationships with external vendors, such as law firms and legal service providers, to ensure quality, cost-effective legal services.
• Collect, analyze, and present legal operations data to support reporting, decision‑making, and process improvement.
• Coordinate and project‑manage legal matters, ensuring aligned communication, deadline tracking, and cross‑functional engagement.
• Maintain and analyze legal department budgets, including forecasting and identifying cost‑saving opportunities.
