Nicely Co. is seeking a Legal Operations Specialist to strengthen practical legal advice, contracts, privacy, governance, and records management. This early-stage role offers ownership in shaping processes and internal systems, with autonomy to turn company priorities into concrete, measurable work.

You will partner across functions, build repeatable processes, and evolve the Legal function as the company grows, maintaining high ethical standards and responsible data handling.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering practical legal advice, contracts, privacy, governance, and records management.
• Judgment and ownership appropriate for the Legal Operations Specialist scope.
• Strong written and verbal communication with specialists and cross-functional partners.
• Ability to organize ambiguous work and document decisions.
• Comfort building systems in an early-stage environment.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day work across practical legal advice, contracts, privacy, governance, records, regulatory awareness, and proportionate risk management.
• Translate the priorities of the Legal Operations Specialist role into documented plans, decisions, and measurable outcomes.
• Build lightweight, repeatable processes that fit an early-stage company and can mature over time.
• Collaborate across functions to resolve dependencies and deliver complete outcomes.
• Identify risks early, recommend proportionate solutions, and escalate consequential decisions.
• Maintain accurate documentation and handle company, customer, and employee information responsibly.
• Use relevant evidence and feedback to improve quality, efficiency, and stakeholder experience.
• Communicate progress, constraints, priorities, and results clearly to affected teammates.
