Job summary

ALO invites law students to join its in-house legal team for a summer internship in Beverly Hills. You’ll gain hands-on experience across IP, employment, real estate, corporate, and litigation in a growth-oriented business.

The 8-week program runs 40 hours per week, starting June 14 and ending August 7, at our Beverly Hills headquarters. Compensation is $25 per hour.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled at a top-tier law school and actively pursuing a degree.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with clear legal concepts.
• Proficient in legal research and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with technology platforms (e.g. ChatGPT, Asana, Claude).
• High attention to detail and effective task prioritization.
• Ability to work independently and with others in a fast-paced setting.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential materials.

Responsibilities

• Research and draft legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and memoranda.
• Support compliance and regulatory matters by analyzing laws and policies.
• Review and summarize contracts, vendor agreements, and employee documents.
• Prepare litigation documents and assist ongoing matters.
• Collaborate with HR, marketing, and procurement on legal issues.
• Maintain legal files, databases, and records.
• Attend meetings with stakeholders and provide day-to-day legal guidance.
• Assist with ad hoc legal projects as needed.

Join our dynamic in-house legal team for the summer! As a Legal Intern at Alo you will gain invaluable hands‑on experience working alongside passionate in‑house legal professionals. This internship provides a unique opportunity for law students to see and assist with the practical application of law in the intellectual property, employment, real estate, corporate, and litigation spaces in a high‑growth, cutting‑edge business environment.

• Assist in researching and drafting legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and memoranda.
• Support the legal team in compliance and regulatory matters, including analyzing laws and policies affecting the retail industry.
• Help with reviewing and summarizing contracts, vendor agreements, and employee‑related documents.
• Provide assistance in preparing litigation documents and supporting ongoing legal matters.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including HR, marketing, and procurement, on legal issues impacting business operations.
• Assist in maintaining legal files, databases, and records.
• Participate in meetings with internal stakeholders and assist in offering legal guidance on day‑to‑day matters.
• Support with other ad hoc legal projects, as needed

QUALIFICATIONS
