The Legal Engineer is a senior, consultative and highly customer-facing role working alongside the sales and post-sales teams to design, develop and implement tailored AI-powered workflows for large law firm clients.
You will act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders within leading law firms, developing a deep understanding of their workflows, challenges and strategic priorities. Working closely with our go-to-market, product and technology teams, you will translate those insights into practical solutions that deliver measurable value for clients while helping shape the future direction of our AI and legal technology offering.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development and deployment of customised workflows and templates for large law firm clients.
- Partner with law firm stakeholders, as well as sales and post-sales teams, to understand existing processes, identify opportunities and translate client requirements into effective workflow solutions.
- Build trusted relationships with firm leadership, practice group leaders, attorneys and knowledge management teams to drive adoption and long-term engagement with customised workflows.
- Support early-stage product demonstrations, proof-of-concepts and pilot programmes, clearly articulating the value and practical application of our AI solutions.
- Act as a key voice of the customer, identifying product gaps, enhancement opportunities and emerging client needs, and communicating these insights to Product, Engineering and UX teams.
- Develop and maintain customer-facing and internal resources, playbooks and best-practice materials to support AI workflow strategy, implementation and successful client rollouts.
- Stay closely engaged with developments in legal AI and emerging technologies, identifying opportunities to apply new capabilities to real-world legal workflows.
What You’ll Bring
- A JD and at least 2 years of recent experience working at a large law firm ideally within Litigation or Corporate Law.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to establish credibility and build trusted relationships with attorneys, knowledge professionals and senior firm leadership.
- Strong executive presence, sound legal judgment and the ability to communicate complex technology and AI concepts in a clear, commercially relevant way.
- A deep understanding of legal workflows, legal service delivery models and the day-to-day challenges faced by legal professionals.
- The ability to translate practical legal experience into clear, compelling and workflow-specific value propositions for clients.
- Demonstrated curiosity and enthusiasm for emerging technology, with practical experience using AI and/or legal technology to improve legal workflows, efficiency or client delivery.
- A consultative, problem-solving mindset and the ability to work effectively across clients, sales, product, engineering and other internal teams.
