DarrowEverett LLP is seeking an AI & Workflow Design Specialist in Providence, RI to design and optimize AI-powered legal workflows, agents, and skills across firm practice areas. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience designing and optimizing AI-powered workflows at a full-service law firm or similar environment preferred.
  • Familiarity with Harvey, Claude, Clio and AI-assisted document review tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience developing QA frameworks or testing protocols for tech-driven processes.
  • Project management skills and ability to manage multiple initiatives.

Job description

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and optimize AI-powered legal workflows, agents, and skills, ensuring alignment with firm practice areas, client needs, and operational objectives.
  • Develop and maintain prompt engineering standards and workflow design conventions to ensure consistency, accuracy, and reproducibility across the firm's AI tools and platforms.
  • Establish and oversee quality assurance protocols for AI-generated work product, including testing frameworks, output validation procedures, and error-handling processes.
  • Monitor and report on workflow performance metrics, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and efficiency gains.
  • Contribute to the firm's AI optimization roadmap by evaluating emerging tools, recommending enhancements, and collaborating with leadership on strategic priorities.
  • Partner with firm leadership (including CIFO, CAO, and Tech/AI Committee) to identify high-value automation opportunities and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Document workflows, standard operating procedures, and best practices to support knowledge sharing and team scalability.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in law, computer science, information systems, or a related field preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and optimizing AI-powered workflows, with a strong preference for candidates who have performed these functions at a full-service business law firm or similar professional services environment.
  • Familiarity with large language models (the firm currently utilizes Harvey, Claude, and Clio), prompt engineering techniques, and AI-assisted document review or drafting tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to define and track performance metrics.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience developing quality assurance frameworks or testing protocols for technology-driven processes.
  • Project management skills and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Direct experience working with Harvey, Claude, Clio, or comparable legal AI and practice management platforms within a law firm environment.
  • Knowledge of legal practice workflows, matter lifecycle management, practice management systems (e.g., Clio), or legal project management principles.
  • Familiarity with workflow automation platforms, APIs, or low-code/no-code tools.
  • Experience contributing to technology strategy or product roadmaps.
