Job description

A thriving bankruptcy law firm is looking for a proactive, organized, and persistent Legal Document and Bankruptcy Intake Coordinator to join their team.

In this fast-paced role, you will guide clients through the document collection process. You will ensure files stay moving, accurate, and completely organized from day one. You will connect with clients daily via phone, text, and email to collect essential paperwork, answer general questions, and keep cases on track toward completion.

If you love clear checklists, fast-moving puzzle-solving, and helping people navigate important legal steps, this position is a great fit!

What You Will Do

  • Guide Clients: Reach out to clients regularly via phone, email, and text to collect required bankruptcy paperwork.
  • Review & Verify: Audit incoming financial records, bank statements, tax returns, and pay stubs for completeness and clarity.
  • Keep Files Moving: Track case progress inside the firm’s digital case management system so no file falls through the cracks.
  • Solve Document Gaps: Spot missing pages, outdated records, or form errors immediately and guide clients on how to fix them.
  • Collaborate Daily: Partner closely with attorneys and paralegals to ensure smooth case transitions.
  • Protect Privacy: Handle sensitive personal and financial data with utmost security and care.

What You Bring (Qualifications)

Required Skills:

  • Top-notch organization skills and sharp attention to detail.
  • Clear, empathetic, and persuasive communication skills across phone, text, and email.
  • Strong multi-tasking skills with a proven ability to prioritize tight deadlines.
  • Tech-savvy mindset with basic proficiency in digital document tools, scanning, and case databases.
  • High level of professionalism and dedication to privacy.

Preferred Skills:

  • Prior legal office, client intake, or document management experience (willing to train the right person!).
  • Familiarity with financial paperwork like pay stubs, bank records, and tax filings.
  • Experience using legal case software or CRM management tools.

Who Fits Best

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who takes total ownership of their workload. Rather than waiting on updates, you actively track down missing files, make follow-up calls, and solve problems before they stall a case. You balance empathy with accountability, creating a stress-free experience for clients while keeping the law firm’s workflow seamlessly organized.

  • Competitive compensation matched to experience.
  • Comprehensive training on firm software and specialized bankruptcy procedures.
  • Supportive, team-first culture.
  • Hands-on career growth opportunities in legal administration.
  • The chance to make a real difference for clients rebuilding their financial future.
