Job summary

QXO is seeking a full-time Legal Counsel with a strong foundation in employment and labor law to support its growing industrial services organization in Coppell, TX. The role partners with HR and business leaders to guide employment practices and ensure regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate will have a JD, active state bar membership, and 5–8+ years of relevant experience, with familiarity in wage-hour matters, labor relations, and dispute resolution.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing with the state bar in the jurisdiction of employment, or eligibility to obtain admission.
• 5–8+ years of relevant labor & employment law experience.
• Experience supporting internal labor and HR teams with labor negotiations, grievance/arbitration, and/or NLRB proceedings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Advise HR and business leaders on a broad range of employment matters and workplace conduct investigations.
• Support employment-related litigation, administrative proceedings, and labor relations/union matters.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state labor/employment laws, including wage & hour, workplace safety, and restrictive covenants.
• Collaborate across corporate functions and support integration planning for newly acquired companies.
