Job summary

Hatch is seeking a dynamic Junior Health and Safety Advisor. Reporting to the Project Delivery Group, you will support offices globally working from our Pittsburgh, PA office location.

Qualifications:

• Roles at this level are filled by recent or soon to be college graduates with little or no professional experience but possessing relevant skills
• Preferred bachelor’s or master’s degree in occupational safety and health or a similar discipline
• Minimum of a cumulative 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale

As the successful candidate, you will:

• Assist in promoting an active health and safety culture
• Provide health and safety advice for staff and managers
• Assist in implementing the health and safety management systems and contribute to its continuous enhancement
• Interface with field staff and support project site work as necessary
• Provide administrative support
• Promote effective communication and dissemination of relevant health and safety information
• Coordinate health and safety training
• Keep abreast of developments in health and safety legislation and practice, and act upon any changes accordingly
• Prepare reports on health and safety

You bring to the role:

• Proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Understanding of worker safety standards and their applications
• Willingness to travel as needed to support Hatch offices and projects
• Previous co-op or internship experience is an asset
