What the Late Stage Business Development Operations Department does at Worldwide

Our Business Development Operations team comprises highly experienced professionals who drive bookings targets and support Worldwide’s strategic position through collaboration and innovation.

This team manages a strong portfolio of existing business and focuses on future growth of our pipeline and sponsors. They are responsible for sales performance, achieving sales goals profitably, and aligning sales objectives with therapeutic and commercial strategies.

What you will do

The Contract Associate manages activities related to the development, preparation, and revision of contracts, change orders, and confidentiality/non-disclosure agreements with sponsors.

  • Support legal contracts team in formatting and drafting templates, contracts, and agreements.
  • Review and negotiate confidentiality/non-disclosure agreements and other contracts.
  • Administer execution and delivery of contracts, ensuring proper filing.
  • Manage legal contracts online document filing structure.
  • Collaborate with Business Development, Operations, Finance, and Legal to draft and finalize contracts and related documents.
  • Track document status via Salesforce and SharePoint.
  • Participate in conference calls to negotiate agreement terms.
  • Ensure scope of work is correctly defined and reflected in the study budget.
  • Identify and address contractual issues early, providing solutions.
  • Manage the process for executing contracts and change orders, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Attend internal project handover meetings as needed to document contract details.

What you will bring to the role

  • Knowledge of legal and contracting principles.
  • Attention to detail and strong reading skills.
  • Ability to redline contractual documents per company standards.
  • Capacity to multitask, analyze information, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Experience in pharma, biotech, or CRO environments is a plus.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective planning, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Strong relationship management skills and commercial awareness.
  • Knowledge of corporate practices and contracting principles; experience with proposal development is a plus.

Your experience

  • Completion of an accredited paralegal program or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum one year of experience with CRO or pharmaceutical data sourcing, analysis, and reporting.
  • At least three years of recent paralegal experience working with confidentiality agreements.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
