What the Late Stage Business Development Operations Department does at Worldwide

This team of experienced Business Development professionals drives significant bookings and supports Worldwide’s strategic position through collaboration and innovation. They manage existing business, grow future pipelines, and align sales with therapeutic and commercial strategies.

What you will do

The Contract Associate manages activities involved in developing, preparing, and revising contracts, change orders, and confidentiality/non-disclosure agreements with sponsors.

  • Support legal contracts team in formatting and drafting templates, contracts, and agreements.
  • Review and negotiate confidentiality/non-disclosure agreements and other contracts.
  • Administer execution and delivery of contracts and file appropriately.
  • Manage legal contracts online document filing structure.
  • Collaborate with departments to draft and finalize contracts, change orders, consulting agreements, and termination documents.
  • Track document status via Salesforce and SharePoint.
  • Lead and participate in negotiations with sponsors.
  • Ensure scope of work is correctly defined and reflected in budgets.
  • Anticipate contractual issues early and provide solutions.
  • Manage the process for contract execution, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Attend project handover meetings to document contract details.

What you will bring to the role

  • Knowledge of legal and contracting principles.
  • Attention to detail and reading skills.
  • Ability to redline contractual documents.
  • Multi-tasking, analysis, and prioritization skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Experience in pharma/biotech/CRO sectors is a plus.

Your experience

  • Completion of an accredited paralegal program or equivalent; Bachelor’s preferred.
  • At least one year of experience with CRO or pharmaceutical data; three years of recent paralegal experience working with confidentiality agreements.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
