Job summary

Goldberg Segalla in Buffalo is seeking a Legal Conflicts Specialist to support the conflicts process. The role focuses on conducting conflict of interest searches and ensuring accurate party data in Aderant while upholding firm policies.

• Assist with special projects and assignments as needed.

Goldberg Segalla has an immediate opportunity for a Legal Conflicts Specialist in its Buffalo office. This position is eligible for hybrid work.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Conduct conflict of interest searches in accordance with firm policies and procedures
• Ensure accurate and appropriate party information is entered in Aderant
• Appreciate and understand the impact of the Conflicts Department and Aderant usage on other departments and the firm overall
• Receive cross training and assist other departments on an as needed basis
• Assist in the maintenance of accurate and current information in Aderant
• Assist with special projects and assignments as needed

EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS:

• Law firm experience is a plus
• Minimum 3-5 years working in an office environment
• Thorough working knowledge of word processing programs and database functionality (Microsoft Office Environment)
• Ability to work as a team player and collaborate with others within and outside of the Conflicts & File Opening department
• Organized individual with great attention to detail required and ability to multitask
• Ability to work independently in a fast pace environment
• Creative thinker and ability to think outside of the box
• Strong communication skills and ability to comfortably interact with attorneys and staff

The hourly salary range for this position is $21 to $26. Actual pay may be adjusted based on experience and other job related factors permitted by law.
