UWM is offering a 12-week Legal and Compliance Summer Internship designed to immerse you in regulatory matters within the mortgage industry. You will gain hands-on experience in legal research, policy drafting, and compliance analysis while working alongside senior leaders on meaningful projects.

As a paid internship, you will contribute to audits, maintain critical documentation, and collaborate with a team dedicated to ethical and compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Graduating with a bachelor’s degree in 2027 or 2028 (current junior/senior status).
• Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research on regulatory topics affecting UWM's operations.
• Assist in review and drafting of compliance-related documents, policies, and procedures.
• Support the legal team in preparing materials for audits and meetings.
• Maintain and organize legal and compliance documentation and databases.
• Monitor changes in laws and regulations relevant to mortgage industry.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to compliance strategies.
