Job summary

Placements24 seeks a dedicated Employment Lawyer to join a well-established firm in East London. The role focuses on advising employers and employees on a wide range of employment matters, including compliance, disputes, and litigation, with opportunities to represent clients in the Labour Court and CCMA.

The ideal candidate will be an admitted SA attorney with at least 3 years' post-qualification experience in employment law, strong drafting and advocacy skills, and a commitment to ongoing

Qualifications

• Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa with at least 3 years' post-qualification experience in employment law.
• Sound knowledge of SA labour legislation and dispute resolution processes.
• Experience representing clients in the CCMA and Labour Court.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on all aspects of SA employment law, including BCEA, LRA, and EEA compliance.
• Draft and review employment contracts, policies, and disciplinary procedures.
• Represent clients in CCMA arbitrations, bargaining council disputes, and Labour Court proceedings.
• Conduct workplace investigations and advise on disciplinary actions.
• Provide guidance on retrenchments, restructuring, and collective bargaining.

Requirements
