You will help clients navigate complex tax legislation and optimize tax positions, joining a respected advisory firm in the Eastern Cape with a strong commitment to excellence and comprehensive client solutions.

Qualifications

• Admitted attorney with a minimum of 6 years of specialized experience in corporate tax law.
• In-depth knowledge of South African tax legislation and practice.
• Proven experience in advising on transactional tax matters and tax dispute resolution.
• Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to provide clear, practical advice.
• Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
• Experience practicing in East London or the Eastern Cape is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic tax advice on corporate restructurings, mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.
• Advise on South African tax legislation, including Income Tax Act, VAT Act, and other relevant statutes.
• Assist clients in tax planning and structuring to achieve tax efficiency.

• Draft tax opinions and memoranda on complex tax matters.
• Conduct tax due diligence for transactions and ensure compliance.
