Job summary

The Law Firm for Truck Safety is seeking a detail‑oriented Legal Assistant to join our Casper, WY litigation team. You will support a Managing Partner and paralegals with scheduling, file management, document drafting, and deadline tracking in complex personal injury and truck crash cases.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in a law firm or legal department, strong Microsoft 365 and PDF editing skills, and excellent written and verbal communication.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree (equivalent experience considered).
• At least two years of experience in a law firm or legal department.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Teams) and PDF editing.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Managing Partner with scheduling, calendaring, and management tasks.
• Support senior paralegal with ongoing case management tasks.
• Organize, manage, and maintain electronic case files and documents.
• Draft, revise, and format legal documents and correspondence using Word and Acrobat Pro.
• Schedule and coordinate meetings, depositions, and other proceedings.
• Track deadlines, follow-ups, and action items across case files.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel as needed.
• Order and track medical records and related documentation.
• Perform quality checks on documents, filings, and case entries.
• Assist with subpoenas and discovery responses.
• Prepare trial notebooks and exhibits.
• Collaborate with internal teams to keep projects and milestones on track.
