The KoonsFuller, P.C. law firm has been serving the Greater DFW community since 1978 and has a reputation of being one of the premier law firms in Texas. We are a client-focused law firm specialized in family and matrimonial law. We continue to grow and we are seeking to hire an Experienced Family Law Paralegal for our Plano office!

The ideal candidate will have experience with all aspects of family law. This candidate should be highly organized, self-motivated, and a team player. Candidates should have strong verbal and written communication skills as there will be significant client contact. The ability to multitask and manage deadlines is a must.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Review and draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, orders, inventories, correspondence
  2. Maintain organized schedules and provide timely reminders for deadlines
  3. Administrative duties, including but not limited to, calendaring hearings, trials, pretrial deadlines and organizing case files
  4. Review and organize documents, exhibits, evidence, and case pleadings
  5. Aid attorneys with discovery requests and preparation of hearings and trials
  6. Communicate with clients, other attorneys and staff, and court staff
  7. Organize and electronically file pleadings and serve documents
  8. Assist the attorneys with case management from beginning to end.

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of 5 - 7 years of family law experience
  2. Board certified a plus but not required
  3. Must be knowledgeable in the Texas Family Code
  4. Must have knowledge of court rules, procedures, and practices
  5. Excellent proficiency in computer skills, such as Microsoft Office, Outlook and navigating a server
  6. Excellent communication skills
  7. Experience with utilizing Westlaw Form Builder
  8. Ability to work independently and be a self-starter
  9. Ability to handle high profile cases with multi-million-dollar estates
  10. Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  11. Must be a team player who values excellence in their work and pays close attention to detail
  12. Must be a self-starter who takes the initiative to continuously learn and grow professionally
  13. Highly organized with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
